Meet Our 2013 Curvy Correspondant Ms. Aleea Slappy

Aleea Slappy loves to inspire, affirm and encourage. She seeks to help people discover their greatness and live to their fullest potential. This is evident in Aleea’s professional experiences. She is the founder and Creative Director of AHappySlappyGreeting, a handmade greeting card company. She’s a leader at a local nonprofit where she manages an business training program for women, teaching them to use entrepreneurial skills to live self sufficient lives.
Aleea has worked as an education reporter for the Bucks County Courier Times and a match support specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She has also worked with several nonprofit organizations as a teaching artist, grant writer, and project coordinator. She served for more than five years as a volunteer mentor with Philadelphia Futures. Aleea is a proud board member with BuildaBridge International a nonprofit that uses the creative arts to transform the lives of youth in vulnerable situations.
